Raul Sam - Vice President, Depot Services
Raul brings over 27 years of management and technical experience in Operations, Information Technology, Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure. With over 19 of those years employed at DBK, his portfolio of skills allowed him to excel in developing strategies, tactical solutions, system designs, and project management resulting in the strengthening of DBK capabilities and delivering agile business results. His strength is building strong, collaborative teams to develop and strategically implement changes to increase quality and productivity that supports and improves business processes, as well as state-of-the-art innovations that contribute to DBK’s growth. In his latest achievements, he designed and managed a major staging and deployment operation for an essential federal government agency in addition to spearheading multiple facilities expansions that allows DBK to scale the business and achieve continuous process improvements.
Placido Estevez - Controller
Placido has over 25 years of experience in the accounting and finance fields including the last 20 years in the controller function for various organizations. He was hired as the controller for DBK Concepts in 2017 overseeing both the finance and human resources functions. Placido’s work experience includes 15 years in the technology industry having led the finance function at two previous technology companies prior to joining DBK.
Leonel Larralde - Director of Technical Services
Leonel began his journey in electronics by participating in various student projects from an early age. His passion for digital electronics and mobile technologies led him to achieve his university degree as Telecommunications and Electronics Engineer, with a special mention for his degree project on the design of an access control using RFID technology. Leo began his international course as a Principal Systems Engineer at Maritur in Cancun, Mexico. There, he was able to achieve the integration of the logistics system with various mobile technologies, mainly RFID. In 2013, he joined DBK as a Level I Technician. More than 7 years later, his knowledge of microelectronics helped DBK advance their level of electronic repairs, and as a result, Leo was promoted to R&D Lead Engineer. Leo’s work was linked to the IT department designing and implementing the DBK Device Utility system, a system capable of performing the loading of custom applications for DBK’s customers, resulting in considerable reduction of human error, and increasing the level of automation. In 2017, he was promoted to the position of Director of Technical Services. His management skills improved all aspects of the technical department, and his excellent relationships with employees, as well as his dedication and results, keep DBK services growing and expanding into new technology sectors.
Sylvia Galvis - Executive Admin and Building Manager
Sylvia has worked for DBK Concepts since it was founded in 1988. Sylvia represents the heart of DBK. Her dedication to excellent customer service and a sincere concern for quality products and operations have significantly contributed to DBK’s success and growth. She has an unrivaled understanding of the Auto ID industry which gives DBK an advantage over our competitors. With many years of experience in data collection, Sylvia knows the ins and outs of legacy equipment and lifecycle repairs. At the same time, she has developed a deep knowledge base of the latest technology supporting the industry, such as RFID. Layne Spiering – Vice President, Strategic Accounts
Layne started his journey at Telxon as a junior account rep in the SE. Layne has been working for DBK Concepts for the past 25 years. He was responsible for many of DBK’s largest customers and growth of DBK over the years. Now he is the VP of Sales and is responsible for maintaining and growing DBK’s Strategic Accounts. His values, hard work and dedication have led him to where he is today as an asset to DBK and our customers.

Daniel Katz - Former CEO / Founder
Danny , a Veteran of the United States Navy. His experience with bar coding and inventory management, particularly the successful development and implementation of computerized order entry systems, motivated him to found DBK Concepts in 1988. DBK has expanded to become one of the largest service providers of mobile handheld technology in the U.S.
Eric Katz - Former President
Eric grew up in the bar code industry, beginning his career upon graduation and then serving over 20 years of experience at DBK in all facets of the company. Eric has significantly enhanced DBK’s operations productivity and purchasing. As a result of his efforts, DBK now boasts integration services that are unparalleled in the industry.
